‘Senior Prom’ Takes on New Meaning at Shipley Living

Not to be left out of the glamour or fun, and off the dance floor, residents at Shipley Living in Wilmington had their own celebration.

Prom season was in the air, and this year, it was not just for high school students. Not to be left out of the glamour or fun, and off the dance floor, residents at Shipley Living in Wilmington had their own celebration. Independent living residents of the senior living community put on their fancy clothes and dancing shoes and enjoyed Prom 2023. Staff ‘crowned’ the prom king and queen for the event, which featured desserts, cocktails and music provided by a DJ. “We had a disco party a week or two ago, so the residents got to practice their favorite moves. Everyone had a great time,” said Sam Oropeza, Director of Life Enrichment.
